          For a Trademark Registration in India other than certification or defensive trademark, the application shall be made in triplicate on Form No. TM-1 and shall be signed by the applicant or his agent submitted to the Registrar for registration along with ten representation sheets.

The form of application contains the following particulars.

• Name and address of the principle place of business of the Applicant.
• The goods in respect of which registration is sought in the class in which it falls.
• Whether the mark is used or proposed to be used. If already in use the date since when and the  person by whom the mark has been used.
• A specimen of the Trademark should be affixed/attached to the application.
• Where the trademark contains words or characteristics other than in English of such words.
• Space for signature.
